One of the biggest Search Engine Marketing Consulting tips I can give you is to number one get free traffic. The other tip I can give you is to make sure that traffic comes from a variety of sources. Without writing a manifesto, I’ll briefly go into a few various traffic sources you can tap into that will improve your search rankings.
1.) Forums – No matter what niche you are in, there is bound to be a forum related to your niche. Do a google search for xxx forum xxx being your niche. For example if you ran an accounting company in San Diego do a search for Accounting Forums in San Diego. Once you visit the forum take a look at the number of threads and posts and make sure there’s plenty of activity going on here. No sense in posting on a dead forum.
Also make sure that you include your sig file in each forum post, but your purpose is to post as an expert and to never spam the forums. If you do they will not let your post go through on the best case scenario. On the worst case scenario they will delete your account and you’ll never be permitted to post on that particular forum again.
Even though blogging on the internet as a means to making money has become quite common place nowadays, with hundreds of thousands of blogs and countless bloggers attempting to monetize their sites, countless bloggers are struggling to make any money whatsoever from their blogs and sites.
